How results are ordered: alphabetically by institution, or by most recently checked when you choose that sort. There is no price ranking, because tuition in different currencies, fee categories and bases (per year, per credit, whole program) is not comparable. Adjacent subjects such as landscape architecture appear only when you choose a subject. A value we could not verify is shown as “not published”, never as “no”. Items marked Sponsored are paid placements; they never change accreditation information, verification or order. Online programs are not counted as physically located in a state or city, and an institution’s location does not tell you whether it enrols students from your country.
Architect education in Denmark is delivered by two specialist schools, the Royal Danish Academy (Copenhagen, plus a newer site in Kalundborg) and Aarhus School of Architecture, on a bachelor's plus two-year master's model. The Architects' Council of Europe describes a five-year academic education given at these two schools. Aalborg University offers a separate engineering-oriented route (a bachelor's in Architecture and Design leading to an MSc in Engineering).
Names and levels are local to Denmark. Similar names in other countries are not interchangeable.
Accreditation, validation, education authority and registration are different roles. Do not read a listing by one body as evidence from another.
Current rules as described by the official source; always check the authority directly.
Per the Architects' Council of Europe, there is no obligation to register with an association or an official list in Denmark and the profession of architect is not regulated; voluntary registration is with the Danish Association of Architects, and membership is required to use the title 'Arkitekt MAA'. The Association itself says the title 'architect' is not protected in Denmark. Source
No degree on this site automatically permits anyone to practise as an architect, and nothing here is visa, work-permit or credit-transfer advice.
Teaching languages. Bachelor's programmes in architecture are taught in Danish (Danish at A-level is required); master's programmes are available in English at the Royal Danish Academy (selected programmes) and Aarhus School of Architecture, and Aalborg's architecture master's is taught in English.
Admissions and portfolios. Aarhus admits bachelor's students only via quota 2 and an entrance examination; master's admission at the Royal Danish Academy and Aarhus is based mainly on a portfolio. Non-EU/EEA/Swiss applicants pay tuition (KADK 9,000 EUR per semester in 2026-27; Aarhus 18,000 EUR per year for the programme starting September 2026; Aalborg 57,850 DKK per semester in 2026). Source
